Entering Eswatini by Road
Driving into Eswatini is relatively easy, you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery as you drive along the way from Johannesburg to Eswatini, the total distance is about 360km. Upon entry, a fee is required of US$5.00 for a car, and for a truck/company car, a fee of US$7.00 applies. There is no Bureau to change currency, however, the gates do accept the South African currency (Rand). Certain documentation is required by the South African authorities to enter Eswatini from South Africa, depending on the ownership of the vehicle, as follows:

- Company letter stating that one is given access to drive the vehicle.

Rented vehicle
- Letter from the Car Hire
- Valid driver’s license

Own vehicle but still paying for it.

By Bus from South Africa
Three companies, TransMagnific, Skyworld, Landmark Shuttles, and Exclusive Shuttle and Tours run Luxury minibus services between Mbabane and Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton). Depending on the company, there are 1-3 services a day in each direction with journey times around 5 hours.
