CULTURE A Tourists in the kingdom can year-round treat themselves to displays of traditional song-and dance routines simply by visiting one of the cultural villages that specialize in showcasing the manifold delights of ‘timeless Eswatini’. Three annual national festivals, however – Buganu (marula-fruit beer), Incwala (first fruits) and Umhlanga (reed-dance) – continue to attract ever more travelers from around the world to witness what are uniquely Swazi spectaculars.

Buganu Festival

Marula-fruit beer is each year brewed by rural women who first offer their fairly potent liquor to His Majesty King Mswati III and Her Majesty the Queen Mother.
